Dr. Navin Prasad

Dr.Prasad is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Sports Medicine at the University of British Columbia and a primary care sports medicine physician at the Allan McGavin Sports Medicine Centre since 1991. He has worked extensively in the sports medicine field including being a member of the Core Medical Staff for Team Canada at 2 Summer and 1 Winter Olympic Games, 4 Pan American Games, and 3 Commonwealth Games including the 2010 Games in Delhi, where he was the Chief Medical Officer for Canada. He has been selected as the Chief Medical Officer for Canada at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. He has been the Primary Care Team Physician for the B.C. Lions Football Team since 1995, and the Head Team Physician for the Canadian Men's National Field Hockey Team since 1993. Dr. Prasad's research interest include the study of knee OA in athletes as well as concussions.
